About the Journal

 International Journal of African Language and Media Studies (IJALMS) is a peer-reviewed, Open Access scholarly journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research on African languages, media, and communication within local and global academic contexts. Hosted at the University of Bamenda, Republic of Cameroon, the journal provides an interdisciplinary platform for scholars to examine the role of Language and Media in shaping Identity, Culture, Knowledge, and Society across Africa and its diasporas.

IJALMS publishes original theoretical and empirical research through a strict double-blind peer-review process and operates a fully Open Access model under a Creative Commons license, ensuring free and equitable dissemination of knowledge. The journal is published twice yearly (June and December), with online editions released before print copies, and all articles are assigned Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) for permanent accessibility and scholarly visibility.
