The International Journal of African Language and Media Studies (IJALMS) is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and scholarly rigor. To ensure the originality and credibility of all submissions, each manuscript undergoes a plagiarism check using Turnitin, alongside editorial scrutiny, prior to peer review.

Policy Guidelines:

• All manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.
• The plagiarism check examines submissions against published literature, online sources, and academic databases to detect textual similarity.
• Plagiarism must not exceed 20%; manuscripts exceeding this threshold may be rejected outright or returned for substantial revision.
• Authors are responsible for providing accurate citations and references for all sources, including text, data, tables, and figures, following APA 7th edition or other accepted scholarly standards.
• Manuscripts found to contain plagiarism or unethical research practices will be handled in accordance with international academic ethics guidelines, which may include rejection, notification of the author’s institution, and restriction from future submissions.
